Note that I have completed more projects throughout high school. These are just some that I find the most significant.

EXPERIMENTS on Mutant Plants |
I am observing the effects the Tobacco Mosaic Virus has on wild plants as well as plants with the mutant CHS.

Origins of the Universe |
I explored the questions: Where do we come from, and What are some borders and barriers we experience in life, both scientifically and physiologically? I wrote a memoir on a time in my life when I fell ill with a chronic pain and nobody could find the culprit, that ended up shaping me into the way I am today in many ways. I also researched the topic of Noah's Ark to discover scientific evidence that supported my claim that Noah's Ark could have survived the harsh conditions explained in the Bible. Once that was completed I created an origin story that explained my own fictional twist to how Noah's Ark occurred, and created 3 paper cut silhouettes that represented scenes from my story.

HeroEs and VILLAINS in
|
After learning about Latin American History (mainly around the Cold War), as a whole, then were assigned a country to go in-depth on in partnerships. My partner Morgen and I were given the country Argentina. After weeks of research, we began writing a play revolving around their historic first lady, Eva Peron, half in Spanish and half in English. Once group scripts were completed, we choose two to fully produce. For the final production I was casted as the female lead in the show, Vino Malo.

Science in SOciety |
After learning about philosophy, I created an infographic that supported the consumption of Junk Food, using both scientific research and a Libertarian argument

CityScape |
For this project my partner and I choice a challenge, and decided to scale down the famous Church in Iceland, Hallgrímskirkja, to be able to fit in a 12"x12"x12" box. We used Google devices to find the measurements of every piece of the building, then one by one calculated what the scaled size would be. Once that was done I designed each shape in Adobe Illustrator, then printed it using a laser cutter and together my partner and I built the building.

Apocalypto |
Apocalypto was my first major project completed in High School. For this project we were assigned groups of 4 or 5 to compromise theories on the rise and fall of civilizations. My groups theory was that the government determines the population and overall well being of a population. Then we created the mechanism above to represent this theory. This project has been shown in many documentaries.

Pirate Based Learning |
I designed and created a remote controlled toy boat built for speed from scrap in a group of 4. When designing we had to complete many calculations to insure that our boat would float, and be the speed we wanted it to be. Once the hull was created, we designed the electrical system, water proofed the boat, and practiced for a class wide competition where we found our boat to be one of the fastest.

Poetry Wars |
I created chapbooks filled with 8 original poems, and an art piece representing my poem, Unlocking the Past (which you can see above). On top of that we were assigned groups to, with very slim teacher assistance, put together our own exhibition to exhibit our work, and with the assistance of my classmate Becca Jones was in charge of the whole ordeal.
